Finally, the children had a great day in Gym. They played a special game with bean bags and scooters.
Today the children took their last tests of the school year. After our work was done we went to the gym for a special holiday sing-along. Gingy from Shrek visited us in the gym and in our classroom to make sure the children are all behaving. After lunch the children worked on ABC order and then we had a Polar Express-hot chocolate party. The children all received a jingle bell as a gift. They also asked me to tell you that love all of t he projects we have been making lately. In addition to the holiday projects that have been coming home, the children did an "I love JSC" writing project. We will be celebrating the 30th birthday of our school on January 4th when we return to school.

We have begun Unit 6 in Superkids and those of you who have signed up for an account on the Superkids website should now be able to access the first online game. The children are learning all about the letter s and its sound this week. In Math we have been learning about shapes and have covered spheres, cones, cubes and cylinders. The children really enjoyed Library today
This past Friday we welcomed a new student, Savana, to our class. The boys and girls have been very helpful and friendly to her. That reminds me, our new rewards board features trees and the students are earning ornaments for excellent and friendly behavior. I am giving the children many reminders to keep being good listeners and to do their best work despite all of the excitement about the approaching holidays. Gabby suggested we all go to sleep early to help us behave. The children even received a letter from Santa today that also encouraged them to continue being good listeners. I am ready for our first full week in December. We will be finishing up Doc and the letter Dd this week and will move on to the next Superkid, Sal, and the letter Ss. In Math the children will begin learning about solid and plane shapes. They will begin making holiday and winter projects each week. Tomorrow they will be able to shop for presents at our Holiday gift shop. Please send money in a marked envelope.
