Today the children asked me to tell you that school is "SO AWESOME!" They learned how to work with Play-Doh to make numbers and count. We began our Reading Program and listened to Little Red Riding Hood. The children made Kissing Hand handprints and practiced writing their name. I think they might be a little tired today because we had our very first Gym clas and they jogged and ran. We are all looking forward to Day 4 t

Today Mr. Boris and Dr. Zwiebel spoke to yor children about the importance of following the rules at the bus stop and in the cafeteria. The children were very good listeners. We did our very first paper and we practiced ripping pages out of our Math workbook so we are ready to get to work tomorrow. The children also received their very own Play-doh which we will be using for the next few weeks to learn about numbers and counting. They were very excited about that. I asked the students what they would like me to post today. " School is awesome!" was suggested and many students agreed. One boy also wanted me to write that homework is awesome too. We can't wait for tomorrow!
The children had a very busy day today. In the morning, they met my class from last year and listened to them talk about what Kindergarten will be like this year. We took a tour of the school and we spent a lot of time in the cafeteria so children could be entered into our computer system and eat of course! The children also enjoyed a wonderful outdoor recess. Tomorrow we will spend more time learning our classroom rules and routines and the children will be given a special presentation on cafeteria and bus rules.
