Today the children attended a safety program by TPA. They learned all about street safety and safe trick or treating. They also received trick or treat bags with some nice school supplies inside. All of the children did a great job and listened carefully to our guest speakers at the program today. In the classroom, the children dressed as cooks like Cass and had their pictures taken. They are currently writing recipes to hang up in the hall. They used an over- under pattern to weave some nice Halloween pumpkins as well. In Math class we are reviewing the numbers and the words more, fewer and equal. The children wanted me to tell you that they learned all about bullying and how to be good friends in PSSA class today. They also feel that that did a great job on their mid-chapter review test in Math today. They needed to use the words equal, more and fewer to complete their work today. I am looking forward to another great day tomorrow.

Although we haven't officially started working with Memory Words yet, we did post the word "is" on our word wall today. The children read that word every day in our morning message. For some reason my last two posts have not been saved. I am hoping the third time's the charm.
The children have started a new chapter in Math on the numbers 0-5. Their grades from chapter two's pattern test should be posted soon. We also wrapped up our Happily Ever After program in Reading and introduced our first Super Kid, Cass, who loves to cook. We will be focusing on the letter Cc and the hard /k/ sound.
